Hey love!
Welcome back, beautiful soul. I’m so grateful you’re here — Happy Summer Solstice and welcome to Season 3 of the Spiritually Embodied Leader Podcast. This new season marks a turning point not only for the show, but also within my own journey. After moving through a deep transformational chapter, I knew it was time for something fresh to emerge — and what better time to align with that energy than right now, in the peak brightness of Summer Solstice?
In this episode, I want to invite you into the vibrant solar energy of this season and explore how cyclical living can support us—not just in life, but in business too. There’s also a special free resource I created for you to help implement this wisdom, so make sure to grab that before you go (details at the end!).
Why Cyclical Living Matters (Especially for Entrepreneurs)
Here’s something I see all the time with heart-centered entrepreneurs: burnout. The kind that sneaks in when we push to grow linearly, constantly producing, striving, and grinding—until we hit a wall. But what if we took a cue from nature? From the moon, the sun, the Earth, and even our own bodies?
Cyclical living is a practice of aligning with the natural rhythms around and within us. Think:
- The seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
- The sun (rising, high noon, setting, night)
- The moon phases (waxing, full, waning, new)
- The menstrual cycle (follicular, ovulation, luteal, menstrual)
All of these offer a roadmap for how we can move through life and business—by flowing, not forcing.
And whether or not you menstruate, you are still a cyclical being. The moon influences all of us. Our bodies are made of water, and just like the tides, we respond to its pull.
Applying Cyclical Wisdom to Business
Let’s break it down:
- Spring (Follicular / Waxing Moon): Visioning, brainstorming, and initiating projects.
- Summer (Ovulation / Full Moon): Visibility, launching, taking bold action.
- Fall (Luteal / Waning Moon): Refinement, completing tasks, setting boundaries.
- Winter (Menstrual / New Moon): Rest, reflection, integration.
Understanding what phase you or your project is in helps you work smarter—not harder. It also gives your nervous system a chance to regulate and breathe.
Why Summer Solstice Is So Powerful
In the Northern Hemisphere, Summer Solstice marks the longest day and shortest night of the year. It's the peak of the light—creative fire, amplification, illumination. In cyclical terms, it’s the equivalent of ovulation, full moon energy, and high noon. It’s that big, bold, magnetic time when everything is at full expression.
This is the moment to own your light.
This season is an invitation to:
- Be visible
- Take action
- Celebrate your growth
- Connect and collaborate
- Lead with joy and vitality
Let this season be the mirror of how brightly you’re ready to shine.
A Gentle Warning: Don’t Skip the Completion Phase
Now, here’s something I want to gently call out—especially for my fellow entrepreneurs who love starting new things. There’s a shadow side to this season, and it’s getting caught up in shiny new ideas without ever finishing what we’ve already begun.
So ask yourself:
What have you already planted that needs tending?
What wants to bloom if you’d just stay with it a little longer?
Let’s stop abandoning our nearly-finished creations and instead ride the wave all the way through.
The Burnout Trap (and How Nature Reminds Us to Rest)
Another trap of this high-energy season? Forcing productivity. Many of us have internalized the belief that if we're not constantly doing, we’re falling behind. But nature tells a different story.
Honeybees conserve energy. Farmers let soil rest. Even machines break down when they never pause.
If we don’t give ourselves intentional rest, we risk burning out our creative soil—our life force. And when we only allow ourselves breaks at the point of collapse, it becomes a form of self-abandonment.
Cyclical living helps us remember: rest is progress too. It’s a radical act of self-love and leadership.
Journal Prompts for the Summer Solstice Season
Take a few moments to reflect on the following prompts. You might want to journal, meditate, or simply breathe them in:
- What part of me is ready to be seen?
- Where am I hiding my light because of old stories?
- What would it look like to lead with joy and aliveness this season?
- What offers, ideas, or projects feel like they’re blooming right now?
- Where am I being called to show up more visibly?
- Where do I need support to sustain my expansion?
Solar Plexus Affirmations to Anchor You
Let’s activate your confidence and presence. Try speaking these affirmations aloud with deep breaths between each:
- I am strong, capable, and powerful.
- I stand in my power.
- I am the leader of my life.
