Hey there, beautiful soul!
wow, I just have to share this experience with you all. It’s one of those moments where I know I’m meant to speak up, share, and let you in on something I’ve been processing. So, here goes — buckle up, because it’s going to be a wild ride through fear, courage, and, well… a spoon.
Yeah, you read that right. A spoon.
Okay, let me rewind a bit. So, I'm at this workshop, and there's this spoon-bending activity, right? And honestly, when I first heard about it, I was like, "Sure, sounds fun, but how does this really relate to anything in my life?" But let me tell you, that spoon became way more than just a piece of metal. It became my mirror. My reflection of fear. My test of strength. My gateway to unleashing a power I didn’t even know I was holding.
In the beginning, I was kind of all over the place. I mean, I was trying to bend the spoon, but it wasn’t happening the way I thought it would. I was stuck in my head, doubting myself, and questioning if I was doing it right. It was this tug-of-war between trying to force the spoon to bend — and feeling like I was forcing myself to bend, too — and just letting go and trusting that somehow, some way, it would happen when I allowed it to.
But here’s the thing — I didn’t feel it at first. I didn’t feel this epic, effortless shift that I’d been hearing about from others. Everyone else’s spoon seemed to bend with ease, and I was like, “Wait, why isn’t mine doing that?! Am I doing this wrong? Am I holding myself back? Is my fear stronger than I am?”
I tried everything. I was pushing, pulling, trying to force the spoon to bend — like, hard — but it just wasn’t happening. And that frustration? Oh, it was real. But it also led me to a turning point that I wasn’t expecting.
I took a moment to pause. To reflect. And that’s when I realized something crucial: This wasn’t just about a spoon. This was about me. My fear. My strength. And the courage I was trying to find deep within.
I ended up having this powerful conversation with Jenny, the facilitator of the workshop. I had to ask her straight up, "Am I doing this wrong? What if I hurt myself? What if I’m not strong enough?" And you know what she said? She looked at me and said, "Just do it. Give yourself permission to bend the spoon with all your might."
Wait, what?! She didn’t say, “Let go, relax, let the love in.” Nope. She said, “Go for it. Give yourself permission to really push.”
It was in that moment that I realized something big: I was afraid of my own power. Afraid of unleashing that intensity. Afraid of going all-in because what if I wasn’t able to handle it? What if it hurt? What if I wasn’t in control?
But in that fear was the key. It was showing me the way to activate my courage.
The next day, in a totally different workshop, Jenny guided us through an exercise to turn fear into courage. I knew in my bones it was time to bring that spoon with me again — I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass me by.
So, there I was. Holding the spoon, tapping into that warrior energy, and pulling up that fear — the same fear I’d felt back in 2019, when I was shaking and hyperventilating into a mic at a speaking event. That fear was real, but in that moment, I was choosing to face it head-on. And guess what? That fear didn’t stand a chance.
The more I bent the spoon, the more I started to feel that shift. The fear melted away, and I realized that what I had been running from was actually the very thing that was going to give me the strength to bend the spoon. And I did it! I bent it, not because I was forcing it, but because I allowed myself to step into my power, lean into the discomfort, and trust that I had everything I needed to overcome it.
And guess what? That spoon? It wasn’t just bent. It was twisted, spiraled, completely transformed. And so was I.
Here’s the thing, though. It’s not just about bending spoons. It’s about breaking through your own limits. That brick wall in front of you? It’s an illusion. Every fear, every barrier — they’re all just here to show you how strong you really are. And when you face them, you move through them. You get to own your power.
So, if you’re sitting there thinking, “I’m not sure I can do this. What if I’m not enough?” I get it. I’ve been there. But here’s what I want you to hear today: You are more than enough. And whatever fear you’re facing, that’s your doorway to courage. To claiming your power. To stepping into your own strength.
It’s time to stop holding back. The only thing standing between you and your greatness is the fear you’re holding onto. And guess what? You can choose to release it.
Now, I’m not saying it’s going to happen overnight. I’m not saying that it’s going to be easy. But bit by bit, step by step, you’ll begin to move through that fear and come out the other side stronger than ever. And soon enough, bending spoons will be the least of your worries. You’ll be bending the rules, breaking the boundaries, and creating the life you’ve always dreamed of — all while being the warrior you were meant to be.
So, what are you waiting for? Take that first step. Let that spoon be your reminder that you’re ready to claim your power. Because once you do, there’s no turning back.
And hey, if you're ready to take that leap, I've got something for you. If you’re interested in making a breakthrough in your business and your life — that next level where you finally start showing up as the powerful, courageous person you were always meant to be — let’s talk.
